THE INSTRUMENT

For this library, we recorded a classic 1947 Gibson L-5 archtop guitar (provided courtesy of the vintage guitar experts at Retrofret in Brooklyn, NY). The instrument was recorded acoustically using an array of vintage ribbon and tube microphones, as well as through a restored Gibson GA-50 tube amp via a floating pickup.

CHORD ARRANGER

The Chord Arranger is a helper tool that allows you to store and recall voicings for use in Playable Chords mode. There are 24 chord slots and each slot can store one chord. There are 30 pre-made chord arranger presets included, and you can store up to 30 user presets too.

It is a useful tool for quickly changing between voicings that, while authentic to the guitar, may be difficult to play with one hand on a piano keyboard. The included presets also make it easy for non-experts to easily access authentic jazz guitar chord shapes that are true to the style.

The Chord Arranger is not a sequencer, nor do the chords stored need to be used in any particular order. Rather, it’s a library or virtual notepad for storing chord you can draw upon as needed in any order.
